AAAAWAG acknowledges the traditional custodians of the country throughout Australasia and their connections to land, sea, and community. We pay our respects to their Elders, past and present, and extend that respect to all First Nation peoples today. AAAAWAG accepts the Uluru Statement from the Heart invitation and is committed to going on the walkabout together to build a better future.

In particular, AAAAWAG correspondents respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land we walk over locally, the Land of Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin, and we pay respect to the Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future.
